Dear family, friends and everyone who reads this,

My backpack is almost ready, a few things are still needed. Off coarse my backpack is too heavy again. I can not get its weight lower than 12,5 kilograms (including 2 liters of water). What do I skip? Something to think about the coming days.

On the map of my site you can see the route of the Via la Plata. When plotting the villages on the route I had to fill in dates as well. They are not based on a real prediction. I think after the start in Sevilla I need about 7 to 8 weeks. But I really don't know it yet. Maybe I do some visits during the trip.

Last year during my Camino I received two fine messages of a birth. Mirthe, daughter of Inge and Thijs and Sydney, son of Birgitta and Ton. Unfortunately Ton has never seen his son. Ton passed away.

Saturday the 26th of March I join my friends Bas and Rob A. in the car to Hamburg where Sydney lives with his mother. Sydney celebrates his first birthday and we bring him a present. Bas and Rob A. drive home without me. Wednesday the 30th of March I fly from Hamburg to Sevilla.
